Mobile Puncture Repair in Bristol

Nail in your tyre or a slow puncture? We come to you and repair it wherever it's safe and legal to do so.

A nail or screw in the tread doesn't always mean a new tyre. We come to your home or workplace, inspect the tyre properly and repair it where it is safe and legal to do so. If it can't be repaired, we'll explain why and can fit a replacement on the same visit.

Can my puncture be repaired?

UK puncture repairs are governed by a British Standard, BS AU 159. In short, a car tyre can be repaired when the damage is small and sits in the central three-quarters of the tread. Damage to the sidewall or the shoulder of the tyre can't be repaired, and neither can a tyre that has been driven on while flat, because the internal structure may have been weakened in a way you can't see from the outside.

Signs of a slow puncture

The usual giveaways are a tyre that needs topping up every few days, a tyre-pressure warning light that keeps coming back, the car pulling to one side, or a tyre that looks lower than the others when the car has been standing. If you can see a nail or screw in the tread, leave it where it is — pulling it out will let the air out faster.

Repair or replace — honest advice

We'd always sooner repair a tyre than sell you one you don't need. We'll check the position and size of the damage, the remaining tread and the condition of the rest of the tyre, then tell you plainly which way to go and what it will cost before any work is done.

Frequently asked questions

No. Sidewall and shoulder damage can't be safely or legally repaired on a car tyre, so the tyre needs replacing. We can supply and fit one on the same visit.

Often not. A run-flat can be driven on with no pressure, which makes it hard to tell whether the structure has been damaged, and many tyre manufacturers advise against repairing them. We'll inspect yours and give you a straight answer.

It's best not to. An under-inflated tyre overheats and wears quickly, and driving on it can turn a repairable puncture into one that needs a new tyre. Keep the pressure topped up and get it looked at as soon as you can.

We'll show you the damage and explain why. We can then supply and fit a replacement to suit your budget, usually on the same visit.
